ABD Federal Credit Union was first chartered by the Federal Government as Briggs Manufacturing Credit Union in October, 1947. That’s where the name of Credit Union originated. Briggs Manufacturing Credit Union represented employees of what was then the Auto Beauty Division of Briggs. Eventually the Chrysler Corporation bought Briggs and we changed our name to ABD.
